Personal Information

Manage your user name, organization, and time zone, and see how your email address and avatar are handled.

The Personal information page is where you manage the details on your Gamma Earth account: your user name, your organization, and your time zone.

Where to Find It

Go to the Profile menu and select Personal information, or open app.gamma.earth/profile.

Spaces at the start or end of your user name or organization are removed when you save.

User Name

Required: it cannot be empty or contain only spaces.
Maximum 127 characters.
Your name is also shown in the account card at the top of the left menu, and your avatar initials are built from it.

Organization

Optional: the company, university, or institution you work with.
Maximum 255 characters.
It is not shown to other users and does not appear on invoices.
To remove your organization, clear the field and save.

Time Zone

Choose your time zone from the list. Each entry shows the zone and its offset from UTC, for example Europe/Kyiv (UTC +03:00) or Asia/Kolkata (UTC +05:30).
The offset shown is the zone's current offset, so it changes with daylight saving time. Only the time zone itself is saved.
Your time zone is set automatically from your browser the first time you use Gamma Earth, and saved to your account. If it cannot be detected, it is set to UTC.
After that, Gamma Earth does not change your time zone automatically, even when you sign in from another location. Only you can change it.
Your time zone cannot be left empty.
Why it matters: if your plan includes monthly bonus credits, your time zone determines when each monthly cycle begins. Unused monthly bonus credits expire at the start of the next month in your time zone.

Email

Your email address is shown for reference. It is the address linked to your account when you registered -- see Register and Log In.
You can't change your email address yourself. If it needs to change for any reason, write to support@gamma.earth from the email address currently on your account.

Your Avatar

Gamma Earth shows your initials instead of a profile photo:

The first letter of your first name and of your last name -- for example, Gabriella Amelie De Navarro is shown as GN.
If your name is a single word, its first two letters are shown.
If you have not set a name, the first two letters of your email address are shown.

Uploading a profile photo is not available.

Saving Your Changes

Edit one or more fields.
Select Save changes below the form.
A confirmation appears: Personal information saved -- Your changes have been saved.

Good to know:

Only the fields you changed are saved. If nothing has changed, Save changes does nothing.
The fields are locked for a moment while your changes are being saved.
Your new name appears immediately in the account card at the top of the left menu.

Billing Details

Your legal entity name, billing address, and VAT ID are not part of Personal information. They are managed on the Billing page -- see Billing Information.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change my email address? Not by yourself. If it needs to change for any reason, write to support@gamma.earth from the email address currently on your account.

I travel a lot. Will my time zone change on its own? No. Your time zone stays as it is until you change it yourself.

Can I remove my time zone? No. Every account always has a time zone.

Can I upload a photo? No. Your initials are shown instead.
